THREE OAKS EARL GREY CHAMPION GREY MALE YORKSHIRE ALPACA SHOW 2011
We entered Three Oaks Earl Grey in to the Yorkshire Alpaca group show on the 15th October 2011. After an early 3am start, we arrived in good time and settled the animals in. The Yorkshire show was held at the Thirsk Farmers Mart which was perfect for the show with high airy roofs, large holding and show areas and large pens for our animals. The attendance from the public was very reassuring and there was a good crowd throughout the day.
We had entered Earl Grey in the Intermediate Grey Male class where we were up against some very stiff opposition, he won 1st place. With winning first place, he automatically qualified for the best grey male class where, to our delight, he won “Champion Grey Male” (huacaya).
The Judge Tim Hey commented on Earls perfect bite, his correct conformation with good substance of bone. He was also pleased to see an animal with such exceptional fleece length. His conformation is what concerning breeders are looking for, it is correct with substance of bone capable of carrying ever increasing fleece weights.

ABOUT THREE OAKS ALPACAS
Three Oaks Alpacas is an Alpaca farm dedicated to breeding quality Huacuya Alpacas. We are based in the Midlands, just outside the small historic village of Tutbury, near Burton-upon-Trent on the Staffordshire / Derbyshire border.
Our aim is to breed animals of quality and good lineage. All our alpacas originate from herds of genetic excellence from the countries of Chile, Peru and Australia. All of our alpacas are registered with the British Alpaca Society (BAS) and are from superior blood lines including EP Cambridge - Jolimont - Accoyo - Purrumbete. The fleece colours of our alpacas range from black through to white, we do occasionally have greys.

ALPACA STUD SERVICES
We are now the EP Cambridge agent for the Midlands and surrounding area which has enabled Three Oaks Alpacas to have a fantastic range of elite studs. These quility studs are available for on farm, mobile and drive by mating. Please look at our stud page for elite alpaca services.
ALPACAS FOR SALE
We have a range of English bred pregnant females alpacas, imported Australian females, Elite stud males and pet male alpacas. We have a range of alpaca garments, wool and fleece for sale. For further details visit our alpaca sales page. Budget and Start up herds are available, along with elite pregnant females.
Anyone intrested in keeping alpacas are more than welcome to come and vist our herd and talk about the requirments of alpacas.For more in depth knowledge we offer a husbandry course.
